Jacob DeVries Ames Car Accident – Obituary: In loving memory of Ames man killed in Pleasant Hill car accident.
One Ames, Iowa man is dead following a collision with a semi-truck early on Saturday morning, November 25, 2023.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that 24-year-old Ames resident, Jacob DeVries was traveling north on Northeast 112th Street in Pleasant Hill when he failed to stop at an intersection and collided with a semi-truck traveling east on Highway 163.
DeVries passed away as a result of the collision’s injuries. According to the Iowa State Patrol, DeVries was not using a seatbelt.
The driver of the semi-truck was unharmed.
Investigation is ongoing.
